Duties
- Support lead installers with handling glass materials safely, including cutting, lifting, and positioning heavy glass panels and fixtures
- Assist in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications and installation plans
- Use hand tools and power tools to prepare surfaces, assemble framing, and install shower enclosures, doors, cabinets, and fixtures
- Measure dimensions accurately for quality control and ensure all installations adhere to construction plans and schematics
- Help with fabrication tasks such as trimming, caulking, sealing (caulking), and finishing work to achieve a polished look
- Participate in heavy lifting tasks safely while following proper procedures for glass materials handling and site safety protocols
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety standards are met on-site
Experience
- Prior construction site experience or hands-on work in remodeling or carpentry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, technical schematics, or construction plans is a plus
- Experience with window installation, door hanging, or fixture installation enhances your fit for this role
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, or cabinetry is beneficial
- Ability to interpret measurements accurately for quality control and precise installation tasks
- Previous handyman experience or involvement in manufacturing or fabrication projects will support your success here
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on ladders or elevated surfaces is essential
