Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Class C Driver with a Hazmat endorsement to join our dynamic transportation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Your expertise in driving and load handling will help us maintain our reputation for reliable service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class C commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, maintaining accurate logs of mileage, deliveries, and vehicle inspections.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including those related to hazardous materials (Hazmat).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company during interactions with clients and team members.
- Assist with special delivery requirements such as refrigerated goods or tanker loads when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route driving responsibilities.
- Valid Class C driver’s license with a current Hazmat endorsement for transporting hazardous materials.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and operating various types of commercial trucks such as flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual techniques while adhering to safety standards.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures for refrigerated trailers and specialized equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials transportation.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
