Summary:
Working under supervision of Food & Beverage Director; supervises banquet houseperson and food servers to ensure service standards are met, handles weekly schedules and payroll.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meets & greets primary person in charge prior to each function.
- Reviews Banquet Event Order and timeline with primary person in charge to confirm set up is as requested and timeline for flow of event is accurate.
- Maintains communication with contact throughout event to ensure a client’s highest expectations are met.
- Directs banquet houseperson of proper room set up and break down
- Must have base knowledge of basic AV on property to assist guests when needed
- Oversees servers of gathering proper equipment to perform functions
- Requisition of all non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for functions
- Communicates with kitchen to ensure proper timing for food preparation
- Acts as liaison between staff and operational personnel
- Plays an active role in the continued training and development of staff
- Ensure proper service during function
- Performs prefunction and post function room inspections
- Prepares billing and presents to contact for signature (if needed)
- Processes payment day of event consistent with BEO/contract terms
- Complete post function reports
- Assists with preparation and maintenance of payroll and schedules
- Supervises restaurant when necessary and or work as a Server in restaurant.
- Maintains organization and upkeep of banquet equipment, props and the office area.
- Any other duties assigned by F&B ManagementQUALIFICATIONS

- Must be knowledgeable in steps of service in order to inform and direct subordinates.
- Must be able to comprehend the banquet event order, and carry out it’s specifics
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma preferred with minimum of 2-4 years of Banquet and/or Restaurant Supervisor experience.

AVAILABILITY
The employee must be able to work a diversified schedule that may include last minute scheduling.
The employee is required to work holidays when needed.
Shift hours will differ in length of time.
