Duties
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently
- Deliver freight on time and in excellent condition across regional and nationwide routes
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while complying with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of materials
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, any incidents that occur during transport, and ELD system-based paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and support staff
- Adhere to company policies and federal/state transportation laws regarding commercial driving
Qualifications
- Having a truck is a must
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being driven.
- Verifiable driving history.
- No DOT-recordable/preventable accident in past 12 months.
- No serious violations in past 36 months, including reckless driving or careless endangerment.
- No DUI in past 72 months.
- Overall safe driving record.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and other team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
