Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Catering Manager for an on-site position in Johnson City, Tennessee. This role oversees high-volume catering sales and operations exceeding $1.5 million in managed catering volume and is responsible for event execution, team supervision, cost controls, catering operations, and coordination between sales, culinary, and front-of-house teams.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Oversee high-volume catering sales and functions exceeding $1.5M in managed catering volume.
- Manage catering operations from planning through execution, including multiple events in a single day and VIP or high-profile events.
- Supervise catering and food-service staff and oversee day-to-day operational priorities.
- Coordinate with clients, customers, sales, culinary, and front-of-house teams to support accurate and timely event fulfillment.
- Manage food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, procurement, and catering resources.
- Support account revenue and operating profit through effective catering operations and cost management.
COMPENSATION
- $81,000–$90,000 annual salary
- Sign-on bonus eligible; amount not disclosed
- Relocation assistance available for qualifying candidates who advance in the process; specific amount is discussed after the initial screen
ROLE
- Direct daily catering events, including food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.
- Oversee the sales process for catering and/or conference services.
- Work with clients and customers to design and execute events.
- Ensure employees have the equipment, supplies, and resources required to meet operational goals, cost controls, and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain food and physical safety standards in the work environment.
- Manage catering budgets and control labor, inventory, equipment, and material costs, making adjustments when necessary.
- Supervise employees by delegating, assigning, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
- Coordinate between sales, culinary, and front-of-house teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of catering orders, including last-minute needs.
- Maintain staff payroll and schedules using Kronos.
- Review catering event orders and weekly catering sheets for accuracy.
- Address client questions while following established catering policies and procedures.
