POSITION SUMMARY
The Carpenter is a skilled field craftsman responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across Eberson Construction's custom home projects. This includes framing, trim carpentry, and supporting finish work. Carpenters are expected to work with precision, represent the Eberson brand on every jobsite, and actively mentor apprentices working alongside them. As a Carpenter, you are not just a tradesman — you are a standard-setter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Skilled Trade Execution
- Perform framing, rough carpentry, and/or finish trim carpentry to a high standard on all assigned projects.
- Read and execute work from construction plans accurately and without requiring repeated direction.
- Execute all work per manufacturer specifications, architectural plans, and company quality standards.
- Identify and communicate plan discrepancies, material deficiencies, or site conditions to the QC & Warranty Coordinator or PM before they become problems.
- Complete assigned daily tasks on time and to the quality standard expected on luxury custom homes.
2. Jobsite Organization & Site Standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite at all times — staging materials, managing waste, and keeping work areas tidy.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and accounted for daily.
- Follow all company site cleanliness and organization standards, representing the Eberson brand correctly.
- Stage materials and prepare work areas ahead of each phase to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the site is secure and properly staged at the end of each workday.
3. Quality & Safety Standards
- Perform all work safely and in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Identify and immediately report safety hazards to the QC & Warranty Coordinator.
- Maintain zero-rework standards — measure twice, cut once, and verify before proceeding on critical work.
- Ensure all installed work passes QC inspection standards before calling for phase sign-off.
- Document any work performed out of sequence or under protest in writing.
4. Apprentice Mentorship
- Actively mentor apprentices working alongside you — explain tasks, demonstrate techniques, and hold them to the right standard.
- Assign apprentices to productive, appropriate supporting tasks to maximize their learning and your output.
- Provide daily feedback to apprentices on their work quality, safety habits, and professional conduct.
- Model the company core values — Respect, Integrity, and Heart — in every interaction on the jobsite.
- Report apprentice performance concerns or standout contributions to the QC & Warranty Coordinator.
5. Communication & Professionalism
- Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates, homeowners, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Report daily progress and any blocking issues to the QC & Warranty Coordinator.
- Represent Eberson Construction's brand, quality, and values on every site — your work and your conduct are visible to clients.
- Come prepared each day with the tools, materials, and knowledge needed to execute the day's plan.
- Raise concerns or suggestions through the right channels — never bypass direct communication for gossip or venting.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS (KPIS)
- Zero-rework work output on assigned tasks.
- Consistent adherence to company site cleanliness and organization standards.
- On-time completion of daily assigned tasks.
- Positive QC inspection results on personally executed work.
- Active, measurable contribution to apprentice development.
- Safe jobsite conduct with zero safety incidents.
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
