Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Collect and analyze behavioral data meticulously to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical records, treatment notes, and progress reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clients in various environments such as homes, schools, or community settings while adhering to ethical guidelines outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
- Conduct behavior management strategies that foster positive reinforcement and client engagement while ensuring safety at all times
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention protocols effectively
- Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards
- Previous experience working in home-based behavioral therapy settings or school environments is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with team members
