Job Summary
We are hiring a full-time Service Technician based in Danville, VA.
This is a hands-on job for someone who is good with tools and likes fixing things. Our maintenance team works on washers, dryers, change machines, and credit card machines at our laundromat locations. The goal is to make sure all equipment is working properly and stays in good condition.
In this role, you will travel to our stores to check equipment, find problems, and fix them. You will also do regular maintenance to help prevent breakdowns. Our goal is to keep machines running and limit downtime.
This job includes on average ~2 overnight trips per week. Hotel and per diem are provided.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works well on their own, and solves problems without needing constant direction. The right person is responsible, dependable, and takes pride in their work.
What You Will Do
- Travel to company locations to repair and service equipment
- Find problems and fix them quickly and safely
- Perform routine maintenance
- Use hand tools and other equipment to complete repairs
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Keep basic records of work completed
What We Are Looking For
- Strong mechanical skills
- Good problem-solving ability
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Able to work alone without constant supervision
- Must have your own basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Willing to travel overnight 1–2 times per week
- Able to lift and move equipment as needed
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a service technician or in mechanical repair
- Experience working with industrial or commercial equipment
- Trade school or technical training is a plus
