Position Overview
We are seeking energetic, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven Bussers/Food Runners to join our upscale Italian dining team. This role is essential to creating a seamless guest experience by supporting servers, maintaining impeccable dining room standards, and ensuring food is delivered accurately and efficiently. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in exceptional service, and work collaboratively with both front-of-house and kitchen teams.
Key Responsibilities
Food Running
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
- Ensure dishes are presented according to restaurant standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers regarding orders, modifications, and timing.
- Describe dishes when necessary and answer basic menu questions.
Bussing & Dining Room Support
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently while maintaining fine dining standards.
- Refill water glasses and assist with guest needs throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and guest areas.
- Polish glassware, flatware, and other service items as needed.
Guest Service
- Provide warm, professional, and attentive hospitality to every guest.
- Anticipate guest needs and assist servers in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Handle guest interactions with courtesy and professionalism.
Team Collaboration
- Support servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff during service.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
- Maintain clear communication to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred.
- Fine dining experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays or equipment for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
