Position Overview
Holder Logistics is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fuel/Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering fuel and propane to customers throughout the Cincinnati delivery area.
The ideal candidate is a professional driver who takes pride in their work, follows all safety and regulatory requirements, and provides excellent customer service. This position offers the benefit of being home daily while providing competitive annual earnings.
Job Duties
- Safely operate a commercial fuel or propane delivery vehicle.
- Load, transport, and unload fuel and propane in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Deliver fuel and propane to residential, commercial, and other customer locations along assigned routes.
- Safely connect and disconnect delivery hoses and equipment.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, hazardous materials, and company safety requirements.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, tickets, logs, and other required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and hours-of-service regulations.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment and follow hazardous-material handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Previous fuel, propane, petroleum, or hazardous-material delivery experience preferred.
- Previous experience operating a tanker is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving safety requirements.
- Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify basic maintenance or safety concerns.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers.
- Must be safety-minded and committed to following established procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and manage assigned delivery routes efficiently.
