Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children during play, learning activities, and mealtime to ensure safety and positive behavior
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development, social skills, and early education principles
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning readiness
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities to foster strong relationships
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health guidelines, including background check clearance, pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, and required immunizations (TDAP and MMR) to ensure children's well-being
- Support classroom management strategies that promote respectful behavior and emotional regulation among children
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute developmental activities tailored for infants through preschool-aged children
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in early childhood instruction
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related health safety training is required within 30 days of hire date
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Background in childcare roles such as babysitting, nannying, or teaching young children will be considered valuable
- Familiarity with daycare operations, child supervision techniques, and parent communication strategies
