Full Charge Bookkeeper
Summary/Objective
Under the direction of the operations department this position is responsible for the timely and accurate handling of cash, bank deposits, payables and other finance related duties.
Essential Functions

1. Prepare all bank deposits in a timely manner.
2. Maintain cash receipts in the accounting software system including all remote deposits and EFT deposits.
3. Data entry of all designation check registers.
4. Processing of campaign pledges for data entry into accounting systems.
5. Reconcile and process quarterly campaign distribution checks.
6. A/P, A/R and all petty cash disbursements.
7. Processing accounts payable ensuring they assigned to all appropriate persons on bill.com for approvals.
8. Maintain organized finance department files.
9. Assist as needed with other finance functions.
Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
1. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
2. A minimum of an associate’s degree with accounting coursework or equivalent is required.
3. At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience required or 2 years’ nonprofit work experience.
4. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously on a continual basis.
6. Strong communication – ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, correspondence, along with writing correspondence.
7. Strong math skills.
8. Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
