Overview
ARQ General Contracting is hiring for a real-deal, frontline, commercial Superintendent to manage daily winning operations. As the on-site leader, you’ll supervise subcontractors, ensure material deliveries, coordinate with project managers, and maintain clear client communication. Responsibilities
- Supervise all field operations for residential construction projects.
- Manage daily jobsite activities, including crew scheduling, material deliveries, and subcontractor coordination.
- Enforce safety standards and building code compliance on all job sites.
- Maintain site cleanliness, orderliness, and security.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure craftsmanship meets company standards.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, vendors, and clients.
- Address issues or delays, promptly providing effective solutions.
- Document project progress and report updates to management.
- Administer budgets effectively to allocate resources efficiently while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Provide strong leadership by supervising teachers and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee education administration tasks such as compliance with regulations, reporting requirements, and policy enforcement.
- Support/develop staff through mentorship, professional development opportunities, and performance evaluations to enhance work quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of COMMERCIAL superintendent/site management experience.
- Deep understanding of commercial construction phasing/workflows, challenges, and has proven experience improving these processes and preventing issues.
- Excellent experience with project management software such as ProCore, Buildertrend, MS Projects, or similar.
- Ability to read blueprints and manage subcontractor workflows.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor field crews.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
