Job Summary
We are currently seeking multiple skilled and energetic Welders/Fabricators/Fitters for projects across Louisiana. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. You will work on diverse projects that require a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication work at various sites, ensuring safety standards and project specifications are met consistently.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, & FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape sheet metal and ductwork components.
- Fabricate structural steel, piping, and assembly components for construction or manufacturing projects while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely during material handling and installation processes.
- Conduct quality checks using basic math skills and schematics to verify dimensions and assembly accuracy.
- Assist in pipe threading, plasma cutting, and assembly tasks as needed on-site or in the workshop.
- Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols related to construction site activities and welding operations.
Skills
- Proven experience working on jobsites with knowledge of site safety procedures.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence. (Not mandatory for all but some job positions)
- Strong mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
- Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or lifting devices for heavy components installation.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations related to fabrication tolerances, and project specifications.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely within a construction or manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to provide documentation verifying employment eligibility as required by federal law.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional welding and/or fitting experience.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as required by project.
- Must be able to successfully pass a welding test, including demonstrating the ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Welding certifications are a plus and may be required for certain projects.
