We are seeking an experienced Electrician to support roadway lighting and transportation infrastructure projects. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of street lighting systems, electrical components, fiber optic infrastructure, and related roadway equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, operating bucket trucks, and performing work at heights.
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and maintain roadway lighting systems and electrical components
- Perform maintenance and repairs on streetlights, controls, sensors, fixtures, and associated equipment
- Install conduit, pull boxes, fiber optic cables, data cables, poles, and foundations
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely and effectively
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and company safety requirements
- Complete daily reports and maintain clear communication during shift handoffs
- Support installation and maintenance projects on roadways and transportation infrastructure
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of electrical experience
- Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting, including circuit diagnostics, fuse replacement, switch analysis, and repair, and lighting system maintenance
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working at heights using ladders and bucket trucks
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Additional Skills:
- Journeyman Electrician Certification
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Spanish-speaking ability
- Previous field service or roadway electrical experience
