General Summary:
Provides timely and efficient delivery of products to customers, maintain daily delivery and vehicle log. Assists in miscellaneous warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Operates various delivery vehicles.
- Transports products and material to and from specified destinations.
- Loads and unloads the delivery vehicle.

Maintains radio contact with supervisor/leader/manager to receive delivery or pick up instructions.

Logs daily stops and time with supervisor/leader/manager.

Checks truck’s equipment and supplies to ensure road worthiness. Notifies supervisor/leader/manager of current or anticipated repairs.

Reports customer feedback and/or areas for improved customer service.
- Collects payment for C.O.D. orders.

Performs filling, checking, and packaging of orders for shipment.

Provides assistance throughout the warehouse upon request from supervisor/leader/manager.

Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Typically bends, stoops and/or crouches from various heights on a regular basis to stock or deliver product to a customer.

Operates forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies & handcart).
- Cleans truck and maintains work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations.

Assists in creating, implementing and revising work procedures and instructions.

Supports the quality initiatives set forth by the region.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED required.

Familiarity with local driving area and previous delivery experience preferred.

Chauffeurs license required; CDL preferred.

Must conduct self professionally when dealing with customers and staff.

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor or Leader, Branch or Operations Manager

- Normal warehouse, retail or manufacturing environments

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
To accomplish the functions and responsibilities the following skill sets must be present:
- 4-year degree -OR– equivalent combination of skills, experience, or education
- 3 years of experience / knowledge applying Rockwell Automation’s products or equivalent competitive solutions.
- Must be able to travel to customers within assigned area
- Ability to determine customer needs and to follow through on commitments.
- Retain and convey a positive attitude in challenging circumstances.
- The ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, multi-tasking, detail, and deadline oriented in a fast-paced environment, strong internal and external customer service skills.
- Good technical writing & presentation skills with ability to present Rockwell Automation’s value proposition to mid / large size groups of customers (external and internal) both commercially and technically.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
