Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Asphalt Operators and Lutemen to join our paving crew. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in asphalt paving operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Prepare project surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying tack coat to ensure proper adhesion of new asphalt layers.vertical-earth.com

- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain asphalt paving equipment, including lutes, rakes, and compactors, ensuring they are in safe and efficient working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE, and ensuring a safe work environment for all crew members.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other crew members and follow the foreman's instructions to meet daily project goals and deadlines.
- General Labor: Assist with other tasks as needed, such as shoveling, sweeping, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in asphalt paving operations or a related field.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Proficient in using hand tools and paving equipment; strong attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
- License: Valid driver's license preferred.
