Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate fully licensed Mental Health therapist with 1-2 years of recent counseling experience to join our growing psychiatric practice. Must have Wisconsin licensure and work without supervision. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct patient care and innovative therapeutic interventions in an outpatient setting. Flexible scheduling and weekend hours are available.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and secure medical documentation practices.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology collaboration when appropriate and monitor patient progress through detailed medical records.
- Engage in case management activities including patient assessment, social work coordination, and behavioral health support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work/counseling with full state licensure to provide counseling/therapy as required by Wisconsin state law.
- Proven experience working as a licensed therapist with a wide arrange of patients.
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including motivational interviewing, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
- Experience with crisis management protocols and behavior management strategies for patients with complex needs.
- Proficiency in telehealth technology platforms and electronic medical records systems ensuring HIPAA compliance.
