The Pedestrian Shops is a family owned and operated business selling comfortable footwear and accessories. We're seeking an experienced, responsible salesperson who enjoys working with people and being part of a team. This position will include assisting customers, ringing up sales, stock work, light cleaning, and merchandising. We pride ourselves in providing a high-information, low-pressure sales environment - so the desire to learn about the shoes and brands (Birkenstock, Lems, Chaco, Teva, Merrell, Dansko, Smartwool...) that we carry and then share that knowledge with customers is a must!
We are interested in candidates who:
- Have 1+ years of related retail sales experience (shoe sales experience preferred, but apparel, outdoor, and related categories will be considered)
- Can be available for 4-5 shifts per week (full 8 hour shifts. Typically 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm). Must be available Tuesday and Sunday!
- A flexible schedule is preferred including weekend availability
- Are friendly, hardworking, and courteous
- Want to assist customers and sell comfortable footwear and accessories
