Scoot’s Swirls Lead – Part-Time
Scoot’s BBQ / Scoot’s Swirls – Gloucester Point, VA
Scoot’s BBQ is opening Scoot’s Swirls, our new soft-serve ice cream shop located beside the restaurant. We are looking for a dependable, outgoing person to take a lead role in the day-to-day operation.
This is a hands-on position. The right person will work alongside the staff making ice cream, milkshakes, Flurries and sundaes while also helping make sure the shop is clean, stocked, organized and running properly.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service
- Prepare soft serve, shakes, Flurries, sundaes and other desserts
- Help supervise and train part-time employees
- Maintain portion and product consistency
- Keep the shop clean, stocked and organized
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs
- Help maintain food-safety and sanitation standards
- Work with Scoot’s BBQ management to keep daily operations running smoothly
- Assist with Scoot’s BBQ catering and other restaurant needs when additional hours are available
Schedule
Approximately 25–35 hours per week during the ice cream season, primarily afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Scoot’s Swirls may close for part of the winter. Additional year-round hours may be available assisting with catering and operations at Scoot’s BBQ.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
