Physical Therapist (PT)
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to consumers requiring therapeutic interventions designed to restore function, reduce disability, and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services through various treatment modalities, including:
- Heat and cold therapy
- Light, air, water, sound, and electrical modalities
- Massage and mobilization
- Bronchopulmonary hygiene
- Therapeutic exercise
- Gait training with or without assistive devices
- Perform initial physical therapy evaluations and assessments for consumers requiring services.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and established goals aimed at correcting or reducing disability, pain, and functional limitations.
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to improve:
- Posture and locomotion
- Strength and endurance
- Cardiopulmonary function
- Balance and coordination
- Joint mobility and flexibility
- Functional abilities in activities of daily living
- Provide indirect physical therapy services, including monitoring, documentation, and progress reporting following assessments and treatment sessions.
- Conduct in-service training and education for agency personnel regarding mobility, locomotion, and the use of orthotic, prosthetic, and assistive devices.
- Educate consumers and their families on treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and safe mobility practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
