Instruction and Mentoring:
Assisting the head coach in teaching debate skills, public speaking, research, and debate strategies.
Practice Planning and Execution:
Organizing and directing individual and small group practice activities.
Tournament Support:
Accompanying the team to tournaments, judging rounds, and providing feedback to students.
Program Management:
Assisting with program administration, such as scheduling, budgeting, and communication with parents and administrators.
Student Assessment:
Monitoring student performance, providing constructive feedback, and keeping the head coach informed.
Research and Preparation:
Assisting students with research and preparing for debates, including finding evidence and constructing arguments.
Maintaining a Safe Environment:
Ensuring the safety of students during practices, tournaments, and travel.
Communication:
Meeting with students, parents, and the head coach to discuss program activities, student progress, and any concerns.
