Vision Sign, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production and Manufacturing Manager to lead our manufacturing team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our production facility. Responsibilities
- Manage daily production / manufacturing operations and shop workflow.
- Lead, coach, and develop production / manufacturing personnel.
- Coordinate production / manufacturing schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout manufacturing.
- Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and shop efficiency.
- Collaborate with Shop Foreman, Production Coordinator, and Installation teams.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, union agreements, and applicable labor regulations.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable culture.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
Must Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of production management or manufacturing leadership experience.
- 5+ years in commercial sign manufacturing is a plus.
- Previous experience supervising production or shop personnel.
- Experience leading or supervising a union workforce is a plus.
- Working knowledge or ability to understand collective bargaining agreements, union work rules, labor scheduling, overtime administration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience scheduling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Experience in the commercial sign, electrical, construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or related industry.
- OSHA or workplace safety leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification.
- Experience managing production metrics, KPIs, and production reporting.
- Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
