Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain high standards of food handling and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with training new employees on food preparation, cash handling, and customer service procedures.
- Manage cash register operations, including cash handling and balancing at the end of shifts.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.
- Implement time management strategies to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Ability to lead by example, motivating team members to perform at their best.
- Experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
