Hinsdale Swim School is looking for Learn to Swim Instructors to join our team of instructors.
Flexible hours, outstanding part-time opportunity for an individual who enjoys swimming and children!
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Program Director, this position is responsible for the instruction of swimming and safety to participants of all ages and skill levels.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- Must be certified lifeguard certified or have Coaches Safety Training, CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications Required. Can provide training and recertification if necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of swimming skills and level progressions and working with kids with special needs is a plus. Mom and Tot instruction is a plus.
- Knowledge of organizing and conducting swimming lessons
- Must be able to work with the public and other staff in a professional manner
- Strong knowledge of customer service philosophies and practices
- Water rescues for a victim in any situation.
- Use innovation and creativity to increase participant satisfaction.
- Enforce safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pools and aquatic area.
- Maintain a safe, clean, neat pool environment.
- Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook and other communications.
- Obtain and maintain required training(s).
- Accept additional assignments as deemed appropriate, within the scope of the job description.

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
