Job Summary
The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for fueling and servicing heavy equipment, performing preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and ensuring that equipment is safe and ready for use on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Fuel, grease, and service a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and haul trucks.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues, leaks, and wear, reporting findings to supervisors.
- Conduct minor mechanical repairs and adjustments in the field.
- Maintain accurate service logs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment.
- CDL-B required (with tanker and air brake endorsement preferred).
- Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and reliable work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Experience:
- Mechanic: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CDL B or CDL A (Required)
- Hazmat Certification (Required)
