Overview
We are a locally owned and highly renowned floral company in the Peyton/Falcon area. We currently have a single opening for a part time (20+ hrs a week) M-F designer/sales/driver position. No previous experience required. Our ideal candidate excels in creativity, problem solving, basic understanding of arithmetic, percentages and fractions, basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Sheets, basic computer literacy, can handle 8+ hours on their feet, able to lift up to 25lbs, can handle a high paced environment, and most importantly is customer service orientated. You must have a clean and valid driver’s license, insurance and pass a drug test for this position.
Candidates must be flexible working a variety of hours. This includes mandatory hours during major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and flexibility during Thanksgiving week and Christmas week. We are closed on all major holidays.
Responsibilities
Duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Loading vans for deliveries
- Taking multiple bouquets out for deliveries
- Delivering to residential and businesses
- Routing deliveries
- Everyday floral design
- Specialty event design
- Assisting with classes
- Flower processing
- Washing Buckets
- Wholesale inventory
- Taking orders over the phone and in person
- Responding to emails
- Typing orders into a computer
- Assisting with walk-in customers
- And others
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail sales processes, merchandising, stocking, and cashiering procedures
- Strong organizational skills to manage floral inventory and maintain an orderly workspace
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Pay: $15.16 - $17.00 per hour
