The Logistics Operator II is responsible for preparing, verifying, and loading products for installation crews based on daily schedules. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products are accurately pulled, properly loaded, and delivered safely and on time. Logistics Operator II
Full-Time Position
Starting Pay: $20/hour+ (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Read and understand order paperwork and manifests to accurately identify products.
- Regular lifting, moving, and handling of large products, including windows, door panels, and frames.
- Pull, stage, and load products according to daily schedules.
- Scan products to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Complete required paperwork and verify trailer loads before shipment.
- Safely load and secure products for transportation.
- Perform a complete inspection of each load to ensure safe distribution.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Lift, handle, and move products safely while following proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete forklift inspections and operate equipment as needed.
- Perform company vehicle and trailer safety checks.
- Report equipment, vehicle, or trailer issues to Fleet Maintenance.
- Support team members and assist with warehouse operations as needed.
- Work overtime or adjusted schedules when business needs require.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, distribution, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand manifests, work orders, and shipping documents.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Regular lifting, moving, and handling of large products, including windows, door panels, and frames.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance when necessary.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and carrying throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying noise levels.
