Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Special Education Teacher to inspire and support students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction across core subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and life skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including curriculum development, instructional design, and learning technology tools to enhance student learning experiences.
- Implement behavioral management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to support positive behaviors and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive support services.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and communication logs while ensuring confidentiality.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a special education teacher from an accredited program.
- Proven classroom experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or visual impairments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Proficiency in teaching physical education, recreational therapy, music therapy or related therapeutic modalities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored for diverse learners.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and learning tools used in special education settings.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
