We advise, design, install and service technology systems for homes and businesses. The systems we provide include audio and music systems; televisions, presentation systems and media rooms; data and Wi-Fi; lighting systems; motorized shades; and the means to control all this technology – plus a whole lot more! These systems may be installed in homes, condos, and businesses in the greater Chicago area and beyond.

What would your job look like?
As a Project Manager at our company, your job will be to effectively assess the scope of work, manage your team, and create a detailed plan needed to successfully complete technology projects.
Typical duties and responsibilities would include the following:
- Be the advocate for all assigned projects, ensuring that all resources (labor, equipment, etc.) are allocated to projects in a timely manner
- Lead a small group of technicians, providing feedback and accountability for their in-field performance
- Conduct hand off meetings with Sales team to ensure customers’ expectations will be met
- Coordinate with other building professionals as necessary in support of the installation of technology systems
- Communicate all billable change orders to sales and engineering
- Schedule and deploy resources to complete projects.
- Coordinate with Purchase Manager to ensure timely arrival of materials required
- Meet with subcontractors to ensure they understand their role in the project
- Adherence to project timeline and expectations
- Review daily updates to project documentation and work orders
- Ensure accurate time clock entries and job costing
- Schedule client training and transition to service department
- Conduct quality checks and enforce company standards
- Local travel to job sites as needed
- Be an ambassador of Mills, providing outstanding customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
What should you bring to the table?
- Previous project management experience in home technology integration or related field (such as low voltage, electrical, construction, etc.)
- Willingness to pursue continuing education on systems including audio, video, lighting, motorized shades, and home automation
- Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schedules
- Comfortable standing on a ladder
- A high level of emotional intelligence
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- A drivers license and your own vehicle
- A willingness to complete a background check – they are required in our business
