Part-Time Assistant Teacher Position
Saint Matthew Christian Nursery School
Saint Matthew Christian Nursery School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our lead teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities
- Support children with learning, play, and routines
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
- Supervise children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play
- Work collaboratively with staff to support student development
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children is required (nursery, daycare, preschool, or similar setting preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, positive, and reliable
- Must be able to obtain and provide all required clearances and documentation, including:
- PA Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Fingerprinting
- Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- National Sex Offender Registry Clearance
- Health Assessment (including TB test)
Schedule:
- Part-time (approximately 12–15 hours per week)
