Ophthalmic Technician
Advanced Eye Surgeons is looking for a customer service oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join their busy Tamarac office.
The ideal candidate has previous technician experience and is available to work full time hours M-F.
Duties:
· Perform and document medical history review through NextGen EHR system
· Prepare patients for all treatments
· Prepare and position patients for diagnostic testing
· Perform a variety of testing such as ultrasounds, fundus photos, OCTs, corneal topography, biometry, visual field, ultrasound, refraction, pressures
· Answer patient phone calls
· Assist physician in the patient flow
· Assist with patient prescriptions
· Clean and Sterilize instruments
· Order medical supplies
· Help with clerical front office duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
· 0-2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician; certification a plus!
· Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Spanish fluency is a plus.
· Professional demeanor and attitude
· Organization skills and attention to details are very important for this position.
