Position Title: Softgoods Sales Associate
Compensation: TBD
Reports to: General Manager
Job Summary:
The Softgoods Sales Associate is responsible for keeping softgood merchandise stocked, organized, and available on the sales floor. Softgoods include, but is not limited to, clothing, googles, gloves, helmets and other items not categorized as ‘hardgoods’. Role includes ensuring merchandise is accurately priced and available to customers on the sales floor and back stock is organized.
Collaborate with leadership to maintain an excellent consumer experience and shopping environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Softgoods sales at both store locations
- Knowledge of products they’re responsible for and general knowledge of products in other departments as to assist when needed
- Attend training and grow knowledge of available store products
- Works with the sales team on the appearance of the sales floor to create an enjoyable and efficient shopping environment
- Assist Inventory Lead unload, tag, and distribute merchandise
- Prices, organizes, hangs, and distributes merchandise according to Alpine Shop stocking policies and procedures.
- Works with Inventory Lead to maintain backstock
- Develops and maintains relationships with customers
- Engage with customers and promote the sales of Alpine Shop’s goods and services
- Assists General Manager/Buyer with identifying when stock needs to be replenished
Qualities we are looking for:
- Previous retail store experience (preferred)
- Able to work in a team environment
- Effective communication and organization skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Strong passion for the outdoors and the outdoor industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
