Key Qualifications:
- Current Michigan SLP license (ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role supporting K-12 students
- Able to work onsite; remote work is not permitted for this assignment
- Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and ability to work independently
- Open to both full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time availability, as needed
- Able to provide direct intervention, evaluation, progress monitoring, and documentation according to district policies
- SLP-CFs will not be considered for this opportunity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to a diverse student caseload in K-12 settings
- Conduct assessments and assist in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain clear records, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Attend meetings, communicate progress, and help implement classroom strategies for language support
This role offers a contract opportunity with flexibility to consider part-time schedules to fit your needs. The assignment takes place during the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 31 and ending June 4.
