Division: Facilities Reports to: Director of Plant, Equipment and Automation
Job Function:
Leads, plans, and executes all electrical maintenance, infrastructure, and controls-related activities across the facility. This role combines hands-on technical execution with team leadership, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all electrical systems supporting manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems & Maintenance

1. Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, controls, and equipment

2. Troubleshoot complex electrical and PLC issues; perform root cause analysis

3. Ensure all work meets OEM specifications and industry standards

4. Drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
Engineering and Continuous Improvement

1. Interpret and develop electrical schematics, control diagrams, and layout drawings
-
2. Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety
-
3. Lead infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations, and capital projects
-
4. Optimize energy usage and electrical distribution systems
Compliance and Safety
-
1. Ensure full compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety programs
-
2. Identify and eliminate electrical hazards and non-compliance risks
-
3. Support GMP and regulatory requirements
Documentation and Systems Management

1. Maintain accurate electrical documentation, schematics, and asset records
-
2. Manage work order data, downtime tracking, and performance metrics
-
3. Oversee spare parts inventory and vendor sourcing
Qualifications:
Required:
-
1. Master Electrician License
-
2. 10–15+ years of industrial/manufacturing electrical experience

3. Strong expertise in:
-
i. Electrical distribution systems
-
ii. PLCs and automation controls
-
iii. Industrial equipment and power systems

4. Demonstrated leadership experience
Preferred:
-
1. Experience in continuous improvement environments (Lean, TPM, etc.)

2. Project management experience
Physical & Work Environment:
-
1. Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variation
-
2. Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, etc.)

3. On-call and extended hours as needed
