Program / Activity Aide
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Program/Activity Aide to join our Adult Day Health Center team. This role focuses on supporting adults with varying physical and cognitive needs through meaningful daily activities, engagement, and personal support in a safe and welcoming environment.
Position Summary
The Program/Activity Aide assists with daily programming, participant engagement, supervision, and overall support of participants throughout the day. The ideal candidate is patient, positive, organized, and enjoys working closely with older adults and individuals with disabilities or dementia-related needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading and supporting daily group and individual activities
- Encourage participant engagement, socialization, and participation
- Provide supervision and redirection as needed
- Assist participants with mobility, transitions, and daily routines
- Assist participants with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, and mobility support as needed.
- Support activity setup, cleanup, and room organization
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Observe participant behaviors, mood, and participation levels and report concerns to staff
- Assist during meals, exercise programs, outings, and special events
- Work collaboratively with nursing, activity, and support staff
- Build positive relationships with participants and families
- Maintains timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

- Experience working with older adults, dementia, developmental disabilities, or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to assist participants with walking, transfers, and daily support needs
- Bilingual is a plus

- Creative and engaging personality
- Experience with recreational activities, music, arts, games, or exercise programs
- Understanding of dementia care and behavioral support approaches
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- Daytime hours only
- No nights or major holidays

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
