Job Title: Project Manager – Construction Multifamily Apartment Renovations/Remodels

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee multifamily renovation and capital improvement projects throughout our portfolio. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple projects and teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional results.
As a key member of our Construction team, you will provide leadership to Superintendents, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. You’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the transformation of apartment communities while helping drive the continued growth of our organization.
What You’ll Do
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead multifamily renovation projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
- Manage and support Superintendents across multiple active project sites.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management.
- Coordinate procurement activities and ensure materials and resources are available to support project schedules.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to keep projects moving forward.
Construction & Quality Management
- Oversee a variety of renovation scopes, including:
- Interior unit renovations
- Common area upgrades
- Clubhouse and amenity improvements
- Building envelope repairs
- Roofing, siding, and exterior renovations
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system upgrades
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to project plans.
- Ensure projects meet company standards, contract requirements, and client expectations.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with asset managers, property managers, ownership groups, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates regarding project progress, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and develop Superintendents and field personnel to support operational excellence and professional growt
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, permitting requirements, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of jobsite safety and accountability.
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- 7+ years of construction project management experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing multifamily renovation, repositioning, or capital improvement projects.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and field teams simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, project sequencing, building systems, and renovation best practices.
- Experience managing projects in occupied and unoccupied apartment communities.
- Exceptional budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and cost-control skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Buildertrend, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel regionally based on project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with value-add multifamily assets and large-scale renovation programs.
- Experience working with real estate investment firms, ownership groups, or property management organizations.
- Knowledge of tenant coordination, resident communication, and occupied renovation logistics.
- Familiarity with affordable housing, HUD, or tax credit compliance programs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
