This role plays a key part in supporting our quality control processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards, especially IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.

Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection, Calibration, and Measurement:
- Inspect coil surface conditions and respond to production floor calls
- Maintain and calibrate inspection, measuring, and testing equipment
- Review gauge charts for irregularities and ensure equipment accuracy
- Record and manage calibration data in compliance with QMS
Auditing:
- Conduct product and dock audits
- Assist with internal, customer, and third-party audits (including registrar audits)
Sample Management:
- Issue purchase orders for lab testing, calibrations, and equipment
- Request and manage product samples; report results
- Communicate test outcomes to relevant internal teams
Material Holds:
- Place and remove holds on non-conforming materials
- Facilitate sorting or rework as necessary
IATF Compliance:
- Lead facility-wide IATF 16949 compliance initiatives
- Coordinate Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) including:
- Control plans
- FMEAs
- Operator instructions
- Quality procedures and validation testing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (steel or automotive industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
- Experience with calibration tools; familiarity with GageTrak preferred
- Understanding of steel properties and metal products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
