We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cable Assembly Production Lead to drive excellence in our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cable assembly operations on the production line, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Lead and motivate a team of assembly technicians, providing clear instructions and support to meet production targets
- Coordinate workflow schedules and allocate resources efficiently within the manufacturing facility
- Conduct inspections of assembled cables using hand tools and power tools to verify compliance with specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including logs of completed assemblies and quality checks
- Train team members on proper use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse procedures to enhance productivity and safety
- Identify process improvements to streamline assembly procedures and reduce waste or rework
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cable assemblies, electronic assemblies and wiring harnesses
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks
- Identify potential production issues and develop solutions to prevent recurrences
- Schedule production builds to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals. Inform management of scheduling or production problems as they arise; develop potential resolutions to issues and work with support teams to correct issues.
- Develop training programs for new Manufacturing Teammates and coordinate training to revisions/new releases of documentation
- Update procedures (as necessary) to ensure compliance with existing processes/new processes
- Provide feedback to R&D and Engineering groups during project/engineering builds
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth workflow
