Join our team as a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer supports a broad range of moderately complex projects (design, implementation, etc.). Projects can range from new equipment, procurement and installation; maintenance projects; equipment enhancement; new products; sales support, training support, etc. Projects may also be small stand-alone projects or portions of a larger project with the larger project being managed by others. The Project Engineer troubleshoots current production equipment/processes for maximum quality throughput and also generates cost saving ideas throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize tasks and apply knowledge to ensure that all projects are running effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Develops project scope and objectives
- Develops/manages of budget and schedules
- Identifies and manages project risk and issues.
- Manages the communication of project status/metrics to all stakeholders.
- Troubleshoots and provides support to other departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Experience
- Product and process design techniques (i.e. APQP, flow charts, control plans, FMEA, PPAP, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of machine design and operating principles
- Intermediate knowledge of machine repair and troubleshooting practices
- Good CAD, PC and PLC knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Customer service focused
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience
- Project management training preferred – familiar w/ MS Project, Gantt charts, PM theories, etc
