Responsibilities
- Conduct regular pool inspections to assess water quality, clarity, and equipment functionality
- Perform routine pool cleaning tasks including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls and floors, and emptying skimmer baskets
- Maintain proper chemical balance by testing water parameters and adjusting chemicals accordingly to ensure safety and compliance
- Repair and troubleshoot pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools
- Perform preventive maintenance on pool systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and chemical treatments accurately in logs or service reports
- Assist with opening or closing pools seasonally as needed to ensure proper preparation for usage or winterization
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues with pool equipment and systems
- Experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance techniques
- Proficiency in pool maintenance tasks including chemical balancing, cleaning, and water testing
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other basic repair tools; experience with power tools is a plus
- Service technician experience or background in pool maintenance is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently in outdoor environments
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety standards and procedures
