American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level III trauma center.

Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a Level III trauma center
-
Department does not perform neuro cases
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on non-holidays
-
Rotational on-call coverage required for all other hours
-
On-call begins at 4:00 PM for 15 hours on weeknights
-
On-call begins at 7:00 AM for 24 hours on weekends and holidays
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Utilizes Philips fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
-
13-week assignment length
-
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required

BLS and ARRT (R) required
-
ACLS and ARRT (VI) preferred
-
License required if applicable
-
Epic experience required
-
Experience with Special Procedures and Genitourinary Studies/Procedures required
-
Skilled in maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Trauma Level II experience preferred

Perform a range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and nephrostomy
-
Perform vascular access and venous procedures including PICC line care, central venous access, and dialysis graft interventions
-
Responsibilities include equipment set-up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile technique

Scrubs are provided

First-time travelers are accepted

Local candidates are accepted at a different rate

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate
