Plank & Go is hiring a Flooring Sales & Design Consultant to serve homeowners throughout Davis and Salt Lake counties.
This opportunity is designed for two types of professionals:
A proven door-to-door salesperson from pest control, alarms, solar, windows, roofing, or a similar industry who is ready to leave the cold-knock grind behind and work qualified inbound leads and scheduled appointments.
An experienced hardwood flooring installer who knows the trade, understands homes and job-site realities, and is ready to get off his knees and put that knowledge to work in a customer-facing sales role.
You’ll meet homeowners at scheduled appointments, bring flooring samples, understand their needs, measure their spaces, recommend the right products, and present a clear, accurate quote.
This is consultative sales. We help customers choose the right floor for their home, lifestyle, and budget. No pressure tactics or door-to-door prospecting.
Compensation
- $4,000 monthly base salary
- Uncapped commissions
- Up to $100,000 in monthly revenue: 5% commission on the full amount
- $100,001–$175,000: 7% commission on the full amount
- Above $175,000: 10% commission on the full amount
Commission tiers are retroactive. Once you reach a tier, that percentage applies to the entire month’s sold revenue.
Examples:
$100,000 sold = $5,000 commission
$150,000 sold = $ 10,500 commission
$200,000 sold = $20,000 commission
Your base salary equals $48,000 annually before commissions.

Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners at scheduled appointments
- Learn their goals, budget, lifestyle, and project needs
- Measure rooms accurately
- Recommend flooring based on product fit and customer needs
- Explain product differences, installation requirements, warranties, and tradeoffs
- Build and present accurate quotes
- Follow up professionally and close sales
- Document customer information and next steps in the CRM
- Coordinate clean handoffs with operations and installation teams
Requirements
- Sales experience, flooring experience, or both
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Professional appearance and customer-first attitude
- Comfortable working inside customers’ homes
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable using a phone, tablet, and CRM
- Comfortable towing a 6x10 enclosed single-axle trailer
- Access to a tow-equipped vehicle capable of pulling the trailer
You do not need to be a flooring expert if you are a proven salesperson who is willing to learn. You do not need a traditional sales background if you are an experienced installer who understands flooring and customers.
