Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide expert recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth operations
- Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest concerns professionally
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members alike
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and processing transactions accurately
