We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Chemical Batch Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and batching chemical products in accordance with established procedures and safety standards. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products while maintaining efficient production workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory experience, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, mix, and prepare chemical batches following detailed formulations and standard operating procedures.
- Operate manufacturing equipment, including mixers, scales, and packaging machinery, ensuring proper setup and maintenance.
- Handle materials safely using appropriate handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain precise documentation of batch records, including ingredient quantities, process parameters, and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to uphold product quality and safety.
- Assist with laboratory testing and quality control procedures to verify batch integrity.
- Support packaging operations by preparing finished products for shipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel for materials handling, inventory management, and proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to identify opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or chemical processing environments is highly preferred.
- Laboratory experience related to chemical testing or quality assurance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques to promote efficiency.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of CGMP standards applicable to chemical or pharmaceutical production.
- Background in materials handling, machining, or packaging processes is beneficial.
- Previous warehouse experience supporting inventory control or logistics functions.
