Gene Cook Supports is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Nurse (RN or LPN) to support the health and well-being of individuals living in our licensed 6400 residential homes. This flexible position is ideal for a nurse looking for supplemental income while making a meaningful impact in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As a PRN Nurse, you will play an essential role in ensuring quality healthcare services through Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST) assessments, medication administration training, clinical support, and collaboration with our direct support teams.
What You'll Do
- Complete Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST) assessments for individuals residing in our 6400 homes.
- Conduct clinical reviews for individuals with a Health Care Level (HCL) of 3 or higher.
- Complete annual audits of completed HRST assessments.
- Maintain HRST certification through required trainings.
- Provide non-oral medication administration training to Direct Support Professionals.
- Serve as a clinical resource for supervisors and direct support staff.
- Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
- Provide guidance and support regarding medical diagnoses and healthcare needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS, CPR, or First Aid certification.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances (Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI).
