Tall Timbers Tree & Shrub Service is seeking a Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician to join our growing team. As the largest independently owned tree care company in Colorado Springs, we are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a long-term career in arboriculture.
This position focuses on maintaining the health and vitality of trees and shrubs through integrated plant health care programs on both residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying common tree and shrub species in our region
- Delivering excellent customer service while working on client properties
- Applying plant health treatments including fertilization, insect management, and disease control
- Diagnosing tree and shrub health issues such as pests, nutrient deficiencies, and diseases
- Mixing, measuring, and applying treatment products according to label directions and safety protocols
- Operating and maintaining company vehicles, spray equipment, and injection systems
- Performing services such as deep root fertilization and soil treatments
- Assisting arborist crews with tree care operations during the winter season when needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to lift and handle equipment and materials used in plant health care
Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, horticulture, or pest management is helpful but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates.
