Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of all ages, ensuring their safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and bathroom needs for infants and toddlers
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress and well-being
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare promptly
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Proven ability in childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Strong activity planning skills tailored to different developmental stages and individual needs
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and social interactions
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, children, and team members effectively
- Classroom or daycare experience demonstrating reliable child supervision and caregiving abilities
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety
