Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to lead and oversee cleaning operations within diverse commercial environments. The ideal candidate will manage janitorial staff, ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and maintain high-quality cleanliness across multiple sites. THIS IS A THIRD SHIFT POSITION (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities performed by janitorial staff to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety regulations, and sanitation protocols specific to industrial and commercial settings.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Oversee sanitation efforts for various areas such as restrooms, kitchens, offices, and industrial spaces, ensuring they meet client specifications.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with clients and management teams to address concerns promptly and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a strong background in industrial or commercial cleaning.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing cleaning teams in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for managerial interactions with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with laundry services, hospitality cleaning standards, or housekeeping management is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of custodial work.
- Adaptability to diverse environments requiring attention to detail and quality assurance.
