Ropes Course Staff is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of a multi-level High Ropes Course facilitating a safe and one-of-a-kind guest experience.
Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour
Major Duties/Specific Tasks

Facilitate the safe use of the 90 element High Ropes Course.

Provide safety briefings and equipment instruction to customers prior to them entering the course.

Ensure proper set up, take down, and daily safety checks of all course elements.

Ensure customers are following all established safety standards and park rules.

Provide great customer service.

Assist with staff meetings and in-service trainings.

May assist with handling money and associated paperwork.

Assist with routine maintenance/repair of equipment.

Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies including performing rescues on the climbing course.

Administer first aid to injured patrons.

Assist with maintaining record logs on inspections, employee training, visitation, and injury.

Report unsafe conditions to the Ropes Course Supervisor, High Ropes Specialist or Park Manager.

Additional duties as assigned by the Ropes Course Supervisor, High Ropes Specialist or Park Manager.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum age of 18 years.

Comfortable with heights.

Successful completion of High Ropes Course training annually.

Certification or ability to obtain certification in First Aid and CPR.

Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.

Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.

Working knowledge of computers.

Ability to learn the operation of the facility and to obtain a working knowledge of NOVA Parks.

Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks.

Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.

Possession or ability to obtain valid driver’s license, must maintain safe driving record.

Required to wear standard uniform.
